Analisis Umpasa “Marhata Sinamot” dalam Prosesi Pernikahan Adat Batak Toba

Abstract


Umpasa adalah puisi jenis pantun dalam kesusastraan suku Batak Toba. Umpasa Batak Toba ini adalah karya sastra dalam bentuk syair/puisi yang berisi pernyataan restu, nasihat, dan doa bagi orang yang mendengarnya.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui nilai-nilai Batak Toba yang terdapat dalam Umpasa “Marhata Sinamot” dalam Prosesi Pernikahan Adat Batak Toba. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini adalah keseluruhan isi Umpasa “Marhata Sinamot” pada tayangan video M.Manik yang publish di Channel Youtube, pada tanggal 12 April 2020. Judul dari tayangan tersebutHatahon Umpasa Tingki Marhata Sinamot. Adapun data penelitian ini berupa kata, kalimat, dan dialog yang terdapat dalamtayangan video tersebut. Dalam Umpasa “Marhata Sinamot” dalam Prosesi Pernikahan Adat Batak Tobadengan menggunakan teori nilai-nilai Adat Batak Toba. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif dan dianalisis berdasarkan data kualitatif. Variabel yang akan diteliti dalam penelitian ini adalah nilai-nilaibudaya dalam umpasa marhata sinamot.Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data dalam penelitian ini adalah instrumen dokumentasi visual melalui tayangan video youtube dengan menganalisis tentang nilai-nilai budaya yang terkandung di dalam video tersebut. Teknik analisis data diawali denganmenyaksikan tayangan video youtube M.Manik yang berjudul Hatahon Umpasa Tingki Marhata Sinamot,menganalisis berupa makna umpasa, menyimak tayangan video, menganalisis nilai-nilai budaya yang berada di video.Dari hasil analisis data dapat disimpulkan bahwa benar terdapat nilai kebudayaan pada umpasa marhata sinamot yang terdapat di dalam video youtube tersebut.
